In recent years I’ve been involved in film-making with Sutton Film Makers [SFM].
As secretary of the club I produced several films, mainly promotional videos for local community projects and charities. I also produced and directed a few of my own scripts, that were originally short stories.
This was a Kingston Council funded project that prepared people with Learning Disabilities to obtain work experience that could also lead to permanent employment. This was the first fund raising project for SFM.
The Hyper Active Children Support Group
HACSG worked with various organizations and agencies including the police, examining the link between nutrition/diet and behaviour. This was the second fund raising project for SFM
This was an entry in a 90 second film competition. Sutton Council judged the competition – you’ll see why we didn’t win
This was one of my short stories and it won the South area part of the national North v South amateur competition – we won a tin of biscuits.
This group actually ran all the way round England following the ‘flame route’ for the 2012 Olympic Games – whereas the official flame was carried most of the way in a coach, and a runner descended and ran it through whichever town they visited.
This was another of my short stories resulting from a Creative Writing Course.
